Irish Open 2021

I have been informed by Bill Dobbins, that provided he gets more than 20 entries, the 2021 Irish Open Draughts Championship Tournament will go ahead on Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th and Monday 25th of October 2021.

The venue for the tournament will be the Town House Hotel, Naas, County Kildare. This Hotel has been used many times in the past by the Irish Draughts Association.

Irish based players will be familiar with the venue which is easily reached by car, bus or train (Sallins/Naas Station).

For overseas players it is one hours road journey from Dublin International Airport with coaches running every hour or so and passing right outside the hotel door.

Bill Dobbins deserves great credit for organizing this event in these trying Covid times and you can help him by confirming your entry promptly and early.

Accommodation at the Town House Hotel can be booked via the internet or by phoning the Hotel direct. Bill Dobbins can also provide information on local non hotel accommodation.
